2010

Here’s some facts about 2010 and the past decade.

  • The years 2000 to 2009 will be referred to as The Zeroes. This is so because there were a lot of zeroes.
  • I will blog at least once every single day. Posts may be scheduled in a time beforehand, and they may be added in retroactively. None of these things matter. At the end of the year, the amount of posts on this blog will have been raised by 365. The content of these posts will be at my discretion.
  • The 2 things I like best about the past decade are Doctor Who and the friends I’ve found on Twitter. <3
  • I will attempt not to maim anyone for their lack of a grasp on the English language. I will probably fail.
  • I will attempt to make friends that don’t live an ocean away.
  • I will reserve my opinion regarding Matt Smith until at least episode 2 of the 2010 series.
  • I will attempt to write an Iris Wildthyme thing to send to Obverse Books. I will likely think any attempt is shit, but that’s the Artist’s Ego for ya.
  • I will write.
  • I will write a script for at least one ‘King of the Worlds’ episode, instead of doing all of it in prose.
  • I will write more of the 25-million word novel than Kurt and Mike, just because. (Consider this a challenge, McKurt and Dills! CONSIDER IT A CHALLENGE! *shakes fist*)
  • I will still hate dogs, children, crowds and my country.
  • I will try to get to grips with things.
  • This website will still be a constant source of depression.

Insert ending to post here.

Reading ‘Genesis 1′

This is the first in a series of posts (probably not) in which I read and take notes on the Bible. I’m not making fun of anything or undermining anyone’s beliefs even though I’m an atheist. I’m genuinely curious.
Anything that could be interpreted as making fun of it is nought but a joke and is not meant with harmful intent.

1:1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

I call bullshit. Though, thinking about it for a second, I suppose this could just be the big bang or some other sort of world-creating affair science would agree with. (Though I don’t subscribe to the big bang either, so what do I know, eh?)

Something else I notice is the lack of capitalisation on earth. So just the ground or the entire planet? Read the rest of this entry »
